YSS Marine & Salvage – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all estimates, work orders, invoices, and services provided by YSS Marine & Salvage.
1. Scope of Work
All services will be performed as outlined in the approved estimate or work order. Any additional work outside the original scope must be authorized by the client and may result in additional charges.
2. Estimates & “Not to Exceed” Pricing
Estimates are based on available information and expected site conditions. Due to the nature of underwater and salvage work, actual conditions may vary. “Not to Exceed” limits apply only when explicitly stated in writing.
3. Weather & Site Conditions
All work is subject to weather, tides, currents, visibility, and site accessibility. YSS Marine & Salvage reserves the right to delay, reschedule, or modify operations if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
4. Mobilization & Minimum Charges
Mobilization fees and minimum service charges may apply and will be outlined in the estimate. These charges cover travel, vessel deployment, crew preparation, and equipment staging.
5. Scheduling & Site Access
Clients are responsible for ensuring safe and legal access to the worksite, including permissions from marinas, ports, property owners, or other required parties. Delays caused by access issues may result in additional charges.
6. Payment Terms
Deposits may be required for scheduled work. Payment terms will be outlined on the estimate or invoice. Past due balances may be subject to additional fees, and work may be paused or delayed for non-payment.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled work may be subject to fees. Mobilization and standby charges may apply if crews or vessels have already been deployed. Weather-related delays are not subject to cancellation penalties.
8. Client Responsibility & Disclosure
Clients must disclose known hazards, obstructions, environmental concerns, structural issues, or other relevant site conditions prior to work. YSS Marine & Salvage is not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed conditions.
9. Damage & Liability
While all reasonable care is taken, underwater and salvage operations involve inherent risks. YSS Marine & Salvage is not responsible for pre-existing damage, structural failure, hidden conditions not visible or disclosed, or normal wear associated with marine environments. Liability is limited to the value of the services performed unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
All work will be performed in accordance with applicable environmental and safety regulations. Additional requirements, delays, or restrictions imposed by regulatory agencies are outside the control of YSS Marine & Salvage.
11. Documentation & Reporting
Photos, video, and written reports may be provided as part of the service or as an additional charge, depending on the scope outlined in the estimate.
12. Variable Conditions
Due to the variable nature of underwater work, final pricing may adjust based on actual conditions encountered at the job site.
13. Acceptance of Terms
Approval of an estimate, work order, invoice, or payment for services constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
