Roatán Scuba Santa Getaway – Stay at Bananarama & Dive West Bay
This December, skip the icy roads and crowded malls and join YSS Dive in Roatán for a festive Scuba Santa getaway at Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort on beautiful West Bay Beach. Picture palm trees wrapped in holiday lights, sunsets glowing red and gold over turquoise water, and dive boats instead of sleighs.
Bananarama sits right on the powder-soft sand of West Bay, with comfortable rooms and cabanas just steps from the water. You’ll be close to everything: the on-site dive operation, beachfront bars, and casual restaurants all line the shoreline. This trip is designed to be laid-back and fun, with plenty of time to relax, dive, and enjoy the island at your own pace.
You’ll be diving with the experienced team at the Bananarama Dive Center, exploring the vibrant reefs of the Roatán Marine Park. Expect colorful coral gardens, walls, swim-throughs, turtles, moray eels, and big schools of tropical reef fish just a short boat ride away. We’ll add some holiday flair with Scuba Santa–themed dives, underwater photo opportunities, and festive touches throughout the week.
Not a diver or traveling with non-divers? West Bay’s calm, clear water is perfect for snorkeling right from the beach, and there’s no shortage of lounge chairs, hammocks, and shade for those who prefer to relax with a book and a cold drink. Roatán also offers ziplining, island tours, boat excursions, shopping, and more for off-gassing days or non-diving companions.
Food and flights are not included in this package, which gives you the flexibility to choose the flights that work best for you and to eat where and when you like. West Bay has multiple on-site and nearby options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – from pizza and burgers to local Honduran dishes and fresh seafood.
